About Me
Welcome! I’m Patrick Eisenmann, and this blog shall serve as a glorious monument to the 10 weeks I’ll be studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. I’m currently an undergraduate student in the field of computer science at Georgia Tech with a focus in Platforms (operating systems and such) and Information Internetworks (essentially networking). For the ten week trip from May 10th, 2009 to July 20th, 2009, I am studying at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
My computational photography class created a flickr group (to be added later) and my account for that class is peisenmann3.
If you would like to mail anything to me (no solicitations, please), use the following format (I used these two guides to figure this out):

From one of those guides on writing foreign letters:
“Address placement on the envelope:
The address on the front of the envelope should be started half way down its length with a left hand margin of one third of the envelope width. The left margin is usually vertical all the way down for commercial letters. The postal company Oficina de Correos of Spain advises that the sender’s address (remitente) should be written on the flap on the reverse of the envelope. This advice seems to be adhered to for all types of letters both in Spain and in South America. In personal hand written mail, it is common to see REM: on the back flap followed by the sender’s address.Note: Leave the area near the bottom of the envelope blank on both the front and back. Postal processing machines may want to print bar codes at the bottom of the envelope.”
About This Blog
Started on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 with the theme “Barcelona Metro” by Jonay Pelluz.
On Saturday, May 16th, 2009 switched to theme “simplev” as the Barcelona Metro theme was not compatible with my image gallery.
Other Stuff
In Barcelona, I’ll only be using my Macbook with the latest update of Leopard. I browse the web pretty much entirely with Firefox, and I recommend these addons for making the web more user friendly and these addons for web development.
